Anna Madeleine

Anna Madeleine is an artist working in mixed media, installation and experimental animation. Through explorations of tPime and mapping, her practice explores the scientific data, networks and information systems that underpin contemporary culture.

Anna completed a PhD in Media Arts at UNSW Art & Design in 2014, a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) at ANU School of Art & Design in 2007, and is currently a sessional lecturer at ANU School of Art & Design.

She has had solo exhibitions in New York, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, and has been selected for international group shows and prizes including the Aesthetica Art Prize, SafARI 2016 and the Churchie National Emerging Art Prize. In 2016 she was a visiting artist at the University of Southern California and in 2018 will undertake a residency at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris after receiving the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ Moya Dyring Memorial Studio scholarship.
