Beginning with performance and documentation in a practice based on observation and accumulation, Noor explores the relational state of material as an abstract visualization. Combining elements with references to tradition, modernity, and popular culture, he proposes spiritual signification in minimal compositions through work in sculpture, installation, photo an collage. In 2013 he was artist in residence in Dubai with a grant from Dubai Culture, Art Dubai, Tashkeel and the Delfina Foundation. Later that year he was artist in residence at the Al Riwaq Art Space in Manama, Bahrain, with the support of Goethe-Institut Gulf Region.
